Instrumental Lessons with Mr Joy/Mrs Durrant
Dear parents,
Mr Joy and Mrs Durrant would like to continue offering instrumental lessons from September. Please complete the attached form and specify which instrument, according to the list below, you would like your child to learn. Please note there is also the option of selecting Rock Band. If you select this then your child will form a band with a few friends and they will learn a variety of skills across multiple instruments, ultimately bringing those skills together to form a rock/pop band.
Instrumental lessons on offer are:
Rock Band (Years 3-6)
Keyboard (Years 1 -6)
Recorder (Years 2 -6)
Guitar (Years 5 -6)
Flute, saxophone, clarinet (Years 3 -6)
Please also fill in the form if your child is currently receiving music lessons in school and you would like them to continue. Offers will be made on a first come first served basis however priority will be given to those that already receive lessons and would like them to continue.
Lesson information
Lessons will be in pairs/threes and will last for 30 minutes. Children will be taught by Mr Joy or Mrs Durrant, dependant on instrument.
These lessons will be for children in years 1-6 from September.
Lessons will take place within the school day; children will be taken out of class.
The cost of lessons will be £10 per child per lesson and we ask for a commitment of at least a halt-term, with full payment being required at the start of each half-term.
Places are limited and will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis.
If a child does not already own a guitar/keyboard they can borrow one from school whilst receiving lessons. A £20 deposit will be required through Parent Pay. This will be reimbursed once the instrument is returned, provided it has not been damaged. Children learning recorder/flute/clarinet or saxophone will need to provide their own instrument.
Yours Sincerely,
Mr Joy
