Year 3/4 Trip to Tinshill Free Church

13/12/2019 to 13/12/2019 9:30am to 11:30am

As part of our current RE work on Christianity, the children in Year 3/4 will be attending a Bible Exhibition workshop entitled: “What is Christmas all about?” at Tinshill Free Church from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30am on Friday 13th December 2019.

The aim of the workshop is to develop children’s understanding of the Bible – its key stories, messages and the importance of this in the Christian faith.  Previous workshops organised by the church have been fantastic and are always extremely engaging as well as informative. This week’s event will include drama activities and crafts amongst others, as one of the strategies to develop the children’s understanding.

As we will be walking to and from the venue, children must wear a waterproof and warm coat as the weather is unpredictable at this time of year. Children will be back at school for lunchtime so no alternative arrangements will need to be made and children are to wear school uniform.

RE is a statutory part of our school curriculum and it is fantastic to have the opportunity to learn about it through an interactive session like this and we are really looking forward to it.

Thank you for your continued support.

Yours faithfully,
