Reception Trip to Tropical World

As part of our new topic of Amazing Animals we are taking Reception on a trip to Tropical World on Tuesday 23rd January.

To enrich this topic, we are going to take the children on a visit to see a wide range of animals. The children will visit in small groups with Mr Verdi to see a variety of animals and learn a bit about their characteristics and their habitats. This links with the Early Years Framework objectives of Understanding the World, in particular with recognising and understanding contrasting environments in the natural world.

We shall be travelling by the school minibus and all children shall still eat lunch at school as usual.

The last group to visit Tropical World is scheduled to arrive back at approximately 3:20pm but with traffic could be a little later. We have endeavoured to put all children attending Beehive after school on that day in this group (they will be taken to Beehive as soon as we return) but hopefully this will not be an inconvenience to many. Please see Mr Verdi or Miss Rushworth if there is any issue with a potential delay.

Please check the form below to allow us permission to take your children out of school to attend this visit.

We are also asking for a voluntary contribution to cover transport costs. If you wish to pay towards this please see Parent Pay.

Thank you

The Reception Team
