Class 4 – Forest School – Stone Age Fire

This afternoon, Class 4 pupils were introduced to fire lighting. Mimicking our Stone Age ancestors, pupils used flint to create a spark and learnt about a wide variety of fire lays and how to construct them. Then, groups combined both these skills to make and start their own fires observing the safety rules discussed – and despite the heavy rain which began!
