Classes 6&7 – Forest School – Stone Age Fire

This morning, pupils in Classes 6 and 7 were introduced to fire lighting. Mimicking our Stone Age ancestors, pupils used flint to create a spark and learnt about a wide variety of fire lays and how to construct them. Then, groups combined both these skills to make and start their own fires observing the safety rules discussed. Throughout, all the groups were determined and resilient, even when things didn’t go to plan, whilst demonstrating excellent levels of teamwork and communication.
