EYFS – Newsletter – 22/11/19

We have had another great week in Reception this week.

In Phonics this week, we have been looking at the sounds r and h. For each sound we have practised our letter formation using lots of different resources such as string, tracing paper, masking tape and whiteboards and then practised applying this when writing cvc words. Our sounds next week will be b and f.

In Maths, we have been focusing on counting objects that can’t be moved and different strategies we can use to count carefully. Later in the week we then looked at shapes and some of their properties.

It has been great to hear about the books children are reading at home. We are looking forward to finding out who can move their rocket on Monday for reading 3 times a week!
