KS1 – Forest School

Pupils in Key Stage One have had a terrific day outside. Children were free to choose from a range of activities including using a flint and steel to create a spark in order to set some cotton wool on fire and creating firework and bonfire related collages from natural materials to link to their English work. In addition, children also used the tree house and slackline to promote their physical wellbeing and exercise and enjoyed digging and making things in the sand and mud pits. Pupils loved one of our new additions to the Forest School area -our outdoor scales! Children were set the challenge of balancing buckets (which were all different shapes and sizes) using water. Our final activity was over at the mud kitchen and a range of delicious treats were served up including pumpkin soup.
