KS1 – Tree Week – Forest School

KS1 pupils brought the curtain down on National Tree Week for 2022 with a bang! Working in small teams, pupils used a spade to perform a T-cut in the ground, a cane to give the sapling support and a plastic spiral to give the new tree protection in its first few years of growth. Together, pupils planted just over 100 trees across the day – what an achievement! As well as all this, children also went on a ‘tree hunt’ around the school grounds to identify the trees we currently have.
