LKS2 – Geography

Today, the children explored the human and physical features of Egypt. We used ICT (Google Earth) and a variety of maps to investigate Egypt. This included rich discussions about human and physical features, using geographical language like: agriculture, residential and commercial retail. We discussed the climate in Egypt and how they used their land in order to grow crops and create a civilisation. Following this, the children conducted a group writing activity in which they had to create an informative piece about the features they found during their research.
