LKS2 Newsletter 25/11/22

Happy Friday everyone! What an exciting and varied week we’ve had in LKS2…

The Year 4s have had an absolutely brilliant time at Robinwood. The teachers were really impressed with the children’s behaviour and maturity throughout the trip, and their resilience when trying new and sometimes scary activities!

Meanwhile in school, the children have been working hard on their basic skills in English. We spent three days focussing on vocabulary, and created some beautiful setting descriptions. We started by working in groups to gather nouns, verbs, adjective and adverbs to do with our setting and then using these throughout the week to build descriptive sentences.

In maths, the Year 4s who stayed in school have worked incredibly hard on their times tables. They went on TTRS every day and completed lots of fun activities, including making arrays, playing times table games and completing sequences and matching games.

This week in PE we have focused on our dribbling and passing skills. We had to dribble the ball to the half way line and pass to a member of our team while making sure we had full control of the ball. We then practiced some goal scoring!

Reminders

Today the children will be bringing home the lyrics for the songs in our Christmas show. Please practise these as much as possible to support our rehearsals in school! Parents will be able to see the show on Thursday 15th December.

We hope you have a lovely weekend!
