UKS2 – Class 8, 9 & 10 – Science

This week in science, UKS2 have been learning about gravity! After learning about the discovery of gravity, and Sir Isaac Newton, the children were challenged with true or false statements. They were also taught the difference between mass and weight, and how the gravitational force on different celestial bodies impacts on this. Afterwards they went outside to investigate the effect of mass on gravity, using water balloons. After making their own predictions about the outcome of their investigation, the children thoroughly enjoyed disposing of their water balloon tools.
