UKS2 – Classes 8, 9 and 10 – Local Walk

On Monday 10th October, all UKS2 pupils will have the opportunity to go on a walk of the local area around school. All students will have a go at creating their own sketch maps and aim to include any key features they come across. Pupils will be asked to take notes of any human or physical features they see and begin to think about why these features are important to the local community. This session will help develop students’ knowledge and understanding in upcoming geography lessons!

All pupils must attend school in Forest School clothing, wear suitable footwear for the walk and make sure they bring a waterproof coat as the weather is unpredictable.

Pupils can also bring hats and gloves in case it is cold.
