Wellbeing Wednesday – Forest School

This morning both groups enjoyed sessions centred on mental health and wellbeing through different activities. The younger group worked on our wheat beds by clearing them of this year’s crop, sieving the soil to remove stones and debris, levelling and planting the new wheat seeds for next year. As they worked, they worked so well as a team by problem solving, swapping jobs, communicating effectively and stayed safe when using the tools. The older pupils learnt how to tie a sliding knot to independently erect hammocks. Once up, we focused on controlled breathing and mindfulness by cloud gazing.
