UKS2 – French

This week in French, UKS2 learnt all about jobs and aspirations. We began the lesson by sharing all of our aspirations for the future and we had many intriguing and exciting careers, such as a palaeontologist, an artist, video game producers, astronauts and even a therapeutic teacher! Together, we learnt how to say the words for various jobs, thinking about our phonics sound for this half term – the /o/ sound that can be written au, o, ô or eau. We then completed a matching activity where we focused on the words we had learnt, and the difference between the feminine and masculine spellings for each. Finally, we wrote sentences completing the sentence, ‘Quand je serai, je serai…’ meaning ‘When I grow up, I’ll be…’ finishing with the words for different jobs we had learnt.
