Wellbeing Wednesday – Forest School
It was a bit of a different session for us this Wednesday as both groups came at the same time to help Mr Gamble and Mrs Hunter with lots of jobs in the garden area. After clearing lots of leaves a few weeks ago to make ‘leaf mould’ compost, pupils were shocked to see so many leaves on the floor again where they had already cleared them. We discussed our feelings at finding the leaves like this and lots of pupils said they felt sad and upset. We talked about how in life we get setbacks and how to cope with them – luckily the pupils were up for doing it again! Afterwards, we took both goats out for a walk where we learned more about them. We discussed their behaviours, their characters, how to walk them sensibly and safely and, most importantly, how to scoop up their poo!
