LKS2 – C4 & 5 – Maths

In Miss Bourne’s maths group this week, we have started to look at addition using the formal column method. We have explored this using Base 10 resources so we can look at what happens when we adding breaks the 10 boundary. We have started to understand that this involves regrouping and that we have to regroup the ones into the tens or the tens into the hundreds when this happens. The Base 10 resources have really helped us to understand what happens and we are looking forward to learning how to present it in our books in written form.
