Year 3 – Tools – Forest School

This afternoon, Year 3 pupils have been learning about some of the tools we use in Forest School. Children learnt how to handle and use whittling knives, secateurs and loppers safely and correctly whilst learning what uses and purposes each specific tool has. Children had to observe then follow specific safety rules and instructions for each tool, ensuring the tool they chose was the correct one for what they wanted to achieve and ensured they, and others, remained safe throughout the session. All of Year 3 were incredibly mature and sensible around the tools this afternoon and they’re all very excited to use them again next week – well done everyone!
