LKS2 – Class 6 – Ancient Egyptian Trip

On Thursday, Class 6 took a trip to Leeds City Museum where they took part in lots of activities. First, pupils had to explore the Ancient Egyptian gallery searching for clues and facts and, whilst there, got to see and learn about a real 3,000 year old mummy. After that, children learnt about the mummification process by mummifying a dead pharaoh. Finally, all the children got to have a go at creating their own amulets. These were used as good luck charms in Ancient Egypt.
