Please find below an update from our App provider.
We have had a handful of reports about users not receiving notifications. Mainly on Android devices.
This is due to Google changing, without notice to developers, how specific devices handle notifications. We have just released an update which is live in the Play Store and App Store. In the latest version, we have also added a button at the top of both apps to allow parents to relink their account to our push provider should they stop (or think they have stopped) receiving notifications.
This button looks like a refresh/reload icon.
Due to the importance of parents needing to receive notifications we thought this would be an ideal opportunity to request all users update their app if they aren’t set to auto update.
We have manually added 2 new tiles to the dashboard of every school app to try and encourage parents to update and to get in touch with ourselves directly if they are having any issues.
We will remove these 2 tiles in due course. We have tried to add them as high up the dashboard screen as possible so they can’t be missed, and example can be found below.
Hopefully this will ensure all parents can update to the latest version and also speak to our team who can help them should they run into any issues.
