Breakfast

Dear Parents

 

As most of you are aware, every morning we provide breakfast for every child who would like it.  This is in the form of cereals, toast or bagels.  We do this to ensure no child is hungry, however it is also an opportunity for the children to sit with their friends, have a catch up and generally just have some social time before lessons begin.  We have even won a national award for our provision.  

 

Unfortunately we have received the news that Magic Breakfast are withdrawing their contribution to breakfast club.  They supplied us with bagels, milk and cereal.  If we can not find other suppliers we may have to reduce/stop providing breakfast for all children – which they all love.  

 

This is where we need your help.  There are two ways you can help us.

1. If you are in receipt of any benefits you are entitled to free school meals(FSM).  This is different to the universal free school meals that Reception, Year 1 and 2 receive.  If you complete the form and are entitled to Free School Meals this also entitles you to half price school trips BUT the more children who receive FSM, school will be able to access breakfast provision from people like Greggs, Kellogg’s etc    We need about 38%  of children who attend school to be on FSM to be able to do this.  
     
2. We already receive 100  free loaves from Warburtons every month, this only lasts approx 8 days. Do you know anyone who could help us get reduced priced Bread, Milk or Cereals.
