EYFS – Colour Theory – Art – 3.11.26

Today in our art lesson, EYFS explored the exciting world of colour theory! They learned some new vocabulary, including primary and secondary colours, and developed their painting skills by practising how to hold a paintbrush correctly and apply paint with control. The children experimented with mixing colours, remembering the important rule of starting with the lighter colours first. They then put their new knowledge into practice by each creating their very own colour wheel. This was a guided session that required excellent listening, patience and teamwork. We were so impressed by how brilliantly the children demonstrated all of these skills throughout the lesson. They showed fantastic focus, cooperation and enthusiasm!
