EYFS – Forest School – 2.6.26
Pupils in Reception enjoyed a lovely dino themed session at Forest School today. The main theme today was creativity and children were given toy dinosaurs and areas in which to work – that was it! In the sand pit and new dig pit, children used their knowledge of dinosaurs to make volcanoes, caves, mountains, forests, lakes and swamps to create a dino world where they role-played with their dinosaurs. In the trees, children became dinosaurs themselves and built bigger dens for them to live in using tarps and den building sticks as well as using the mud kitchen to create a meal for a dinosaurs, thinking carefully about whether they were a herbivore, carnivore or omnivore. Finally, children could also use wax crayons to take tree rubbings to make dinosaur scales for use back in the classroom! Well done EYFS!
