EYFS – Forest School – 29/9/26

This morning, EYFS spent their session learning how to make dens in teams where communication, teamwork and problem solving were needed in order to achieve a den they could all fit inside. They had to think of the shape, height and width of the den and make sure it was secure enough so that it wouldn’t fall down. Pupils also had the chance to play in the dig pit, sand pit and mud kitchen, again developing communication and co-operation skills whilst role-playing lots of different activities, from chefs to archaelogists! To begin and end the session, pupils put these skills to the test by playing a number of different Forest School games, including ‘Tree Tig’ and ‘Predator vs Prey’, where we focused on playing fairly and following the rules of the game in order to have fun.
