EYFS – Forest School

This morning in Forest School we began our session by reading ‘The Cave’ by Rob Hodgson. The book is about a creature who lives in a cave but never comes out because of a wolf but there is an exciting twist and surprise in the tale! After reading and discussing the book, the children were set a task of creating a cave for an animal puppet. Children chose their animal, a sensible place to build the cave and used natural resources to create a safe home. For their next challenge, pupils were asked to include items inside the cave, such as a bed and food for the animals.
