What a brilliant week we have had in Reception!
In Phonics this week we have been continuing to work on our listening skills. We went on a listening walk, matched objects with the same initial sound and worked hard to identify different instruments from the noises that they made.
In Maths we have been using words such as fewer, more, taller and shorter to make comparisons between different objects.
Today it was International Forest Schools day so we had an extra forest school session. The children had a great time playing lots of different games and activities on the field and discussing our school environment. They also showed that they could help collect sticks and then be safe around a fire.
Next week it is forest schools on Thursday.
