EYFS – Newsletter – 14.5.21

It’s been a fun-filled week in Reception this week.

Eid Mubarak! Lots of children have been very excited this week as they have celebrated Eid. In Art, the children made some lovely cards and we’ve heard all about the celebrations taking place at home too.

In other news, the children have been writing sentences with increasing independence and we’ve been extremely impressed with the phonic knowledge an formation of letters. In Maths the children have been tackling quantities beyond 10, representing teen numbers in a variety of games and activities. Our new reading area is in full swing and the children are challenging themselves to read the password and read a story before sliding down the slide.

Outside, the children have helped to convert our digging area into a new pond and we’ve bought some pond plants to keep the water clean. Watch this space as we may see some more additions in the coming weeks!

Next week:

Wednesday will be Forest Schools

Friday (21st May) will be non-uniform and the children will be going to the hall for Eid celebrations and lots of fun!

Please remember to return reading books every Friday so that these can quarantine over the weekend.

Have a lovely weekend!
