EYFS Newsletter – 18/03/22

Spring has finally sprung and Reception have had a jolly week to match!

In Phonics we have looked at the graphemes ‘air’, ‘ure’ and ‘er’. The children have done a brilliant job using these graphemes in both words and sentences. They have loved writing sentences in their new special purple exercise books reserved only for our best work!

In Maths we have looked at 3D shapes. We have had a great time investigating the different names and properties, particularly enjoying experimenting with which shapes rolled the furthest when using a ramp!

On Thursday we had forest schools. Up in the garden we went on minibeast hunts, created minibeast pictures using natural loose parts and helped Mr Gamble start to build a minibeast hotel.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend.
