EYFS Newsletter – 19.11.21

What a full and fun-packed week we’ve had in Reception!

Continuing our topic of Toys, we have been comparing old toys with new. Children have enjoyed exploring some different toys and noticing how newer toys often have features that older toys lack. Newer electronic toys such as the class Bee-bots have been popular and allowed the children to develop new skills along the way.

Our maths sessions this week have focused on the numbers 3 and 4, with the children exploring these numbers in a variety of ways.

In Phonics this week we’ve learned the new phonemes ck, e, u and r and focused on blending cvc words to read them.

Forest schools this week was inspired by the story ‘Owl Babies’ with children building nests from natural materials found in the school gardens.
