EYFS – Newsletter – 20.12.19

Our last post of the decade! What a full and frenzied week of Christmassy fun we have enjoyed.

The beginning of the week was occupied with putting finishing touches to our Christmas production. Thank you to all family and friends who were able to attend and support the children’s efforts. We hope you enjoyed watching the show as much as the kids did performing it!

The remainder of the week was spent building to a fever pitch of excitement for Christmas (you’re welcome!). Much fun was had with our elf Kevin, as he appeared in different places with messages to the children. Children enjoyed the challenge of writing letters to Kevin and sent him back to the North Pole with letters for Santa himself!

On Thursday we had a wonderful Christmas party full of dancing, singing, games and LOTS of food.  A big thank you to everybody for sending in food to make our party such a feast! Kevin the elf set up an #elfie station, where the children enjoyed taking pictures of each other in silly disguises.

It has been a pleasure to work with the children in Reception this term and we are so very proud of all they have accomplished so far. Each week the children are building in confidence in their own abilities and wowing us in all sorts of ways. Thank you for all the support and patience you have shown the Reception team this year. We look forward to seeing you all again as school starts up again for the children on Tuesday 7th January.

Finally, we’d all like to say a huge thank you for all the generous gifts and cards the team has received in the past week or so. It is very much appreciated and they will certainly go a good way towards us having a relaxing and merry Christmas time. We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and wish you well for the new year. See you in 2020!
