EYFS Newsletter – 27.05.22

It’s the end of a brilliant half term in Reception and we’ve had a great time sending off our Dinosaur topic, as well as celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Our Maths work this week was centered around the concept of doubling, which the children explored in different ways.

In Phonics, our sessions have been based around a cinema-based story and seen the children reading and writing around that theme. One activity even saw the children fulfilling written orders for pic’n’mix sweets!

Thursday was a muddy magnificent Dino themed forest school day, with children enjoying a range of dinosaur themed activities.

On Friday the whole school celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee by dressing in red, white and blue. In Reception we played some games, “sang” the national anthem and enjoyed lots of jubilee themed activities, including ‘Pin the tail on the corgi’!

School is closed for the half-term break next week, and school opens on Monday 6th June. We hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
