Forest School ‘Well-Being Wednesday’

Today, we launched our first ‘Well-Being Wednesday’ – linking Forest School sessions and mental health. The pupils who took part today enjoyed a chance to talk about their feelings and needs. Linking this to our school animals, we began learning about their needs. As we were quiet and still, they all came to see us! We managed to stroke, cuddle and feed them. Sessions also focused on safety, resilience and how it feels to overcome fears and be successful. Reception and Key Stage 1 tackled the tree house and swings whilst Key Stage 2 opted to build and light fires to roast marshmallows.
