Forest School – Wellbeing Wednesday

In this week’s wellbeing sessions, the older pupils continued their work on feelings. Using clay, they had to express an emotion they had experienced over the past week and were invited to talk more about possible triggers and strategies to help them cope when experiencing the feeling again in the future. The session finished with yoga and a chance to clear our minds and work on our physical health through developing our core strength and stretching our muscles. The younger pupils talked about the important role exercise can have on mental health and especially exercising outdoors in nature. They played on the tree house and swings and pushed themselves to complete challenges on our new ninja slackline. At the end, pupils could explain how great they felt at achieving something they’d found tricky.
