Harvest Festival
Dear Parents and Carers,
On Monday 20th October we will be holding a Harvest Festival in school. As well as singing ‘assembly bangers’ such as Cauliflowers Fluffy, each class will also be doing a small presentation to the school. This might be a poem, facts about food miles or a report from Forest School work. As well as celebrating food and good harvests we will also be thinking about people who are struggling to have enough to eat. We will be hearing about the foodbanks and charities that support people in need, particularly the charity Homeless Street Angels. We will be collecting donations of non perishable food items and toiletries to help Homeless Street Angels provide food parcels to people who they are resettling into a home after living on the streets. If you are able to send in any of the following items in the week from Monday 13th October to Monday 20th October, they would be most gratefully received.
Tins of food
Packets of food – pasta, rice
Crisps
Biscuits and crackers
Puddings
Cereals
Toilet rolls
Pot noodles
Sauces
Toiletries
Due to the capacity of the hall, the Harvest Festival will be for pupils only. We will share photos on the website. Thank you in advance for your donations.
