KS1 – Class 3 – Day 1 of Transition

We have had a fantastic day in Class 3!

First of all, we all cheered loudly when we found out our new teacher was going to be Miss Mehboob. Then we went to our classroom for the very first time. We were all excited and had so much to tell Miss Mehboob so we got into a circle and shared everything that was on our minds.

We enjoyed playtime with the new Year 1’s and then we had a story. It was called ‘What the ladybird heard at the seaside’ and it was a very fun book to join in with as it had lots of rhymes.

After this, we got to know members of our class including Mrs Williams and Miss Mehboob by completing the activity ‘find someone who…’. We had to go around and find random things about our friends such as who had a pet dog or who had a middle name. It was very interesting to find out fun facts about one another.

Then, it was time for lunch where we had some yummy food and got to know other classes further.

After lunch, we used our wonderful drawing skills to create a self portrait and then we painted it very carefully. We were very happy with what we produced.

After break, we got to choose in our new classroom which was very exciting. Some of us read a book, made models using lego and even dressed up!

Overall, it was a fun-packed day in Class 3 and we can’t wait to see what we will do for the rest of the week!
