KS1 – Drawing and Painting – Art A – 22.3.26

This week KS1 children explored animal marks, patterns and textures. Building on the mark-making skills they developed in our previous lesson, they made informed artistic choices when selecting and using different marks to represent animal textures and patterns. The children used chalk pastels and pencil crayons to experiment with lines, dots, dashes, swirls and zigzags, creating observational drawings of fur, scales, spots and stripes. They enjoyed developing their ideas and seeing how different marks and materials could bring their animal-inspired artwork to life.
