KS1 – Newsletter – 13/12/19

Phew, another very busy week in Key Stage 1.

Thank you to all those Grandparents who attended Our event on Monday. It was amazing to have so many of you there. The children loved performing for you and it was particularly special for us to see them all sharing their books with you. Lots of fabulous colouring was done too and it was really nice for the children to connect with you in this way.

As you can imagine, we have been having lots of practises for our Nativity play which went off without a hitch on Wednesday afternoon. Again, in was lovely to see the hall so full with family and friends coming along to support our little actors. We were so proud of their singing and acting and we are sure you all are too.

In between all the fun and games, Year 1 have continued to learn about 3D shapes and were modelling them out of playdough. PPA day happened on Tuesday, so the children enjoyed their rotation of Art, PE and Music.

Year 2 have been finishing their topic on welcoming children in RE. They have learned about the similarities and differences between the Muslim and Christian faith and how they welcome children.

Dates for your diary: Monday 6th January – Training day
