KS1 – Shelters – Forest School

Today in Forest School pupils built upon their previous lesson where they began learning about different shelters before having a go at building some using the correct features. Building on their knowledge, children recapped the features and names of the three different shelters they had looked at last time (A-Frame, Lean-To and Tepee) before being tasked with creating a mini version for a toy animal to live in. With great enthusiasm, groups set to work using their knowledge of these dens to create structured shelters using the correct techniques, great teamwork and a lot of patience! Once complete, groups decorated their shelters with beds, baths, food, tables and even a gym! Great creativity KS1!
