LKS2 – Bee Friendly Competition

As part of our ongoing work on our topic ‘Our Planet’, pupils have been learning about the important role bees play in pollination and food production. This afternoon, we have designed a bee friendly garden as part of Radio Two’s ‘Big Bee Challenge.’ We looked for flowers and bees in the school grounds then discussed what we noticed. In class, we researched bee friendly flowers and the things bees need in order to thrive.

All children have brought home their designs as entry to the competition needs parental consent. To enter, please click on the link below and complete the short entry form. The deadline is 6pm on Monday 5th July 2021 and the winning entry will have their design turned into a real bee friendly garden.
