LKS2 – Class 4 & 5 – Maths

Over the last two days, we looked at flexible partitioning. We felt confident recognising the value of each digit in a three-digit number and the number of ones, tens and hundreds in each number so we began to explore other ways that we could partition numbers. To do this, we use base 10 resources to understand the different ways that the number could be partitioned. On the second day, we built on this and practised drawing our base 10 and writing down our expanded number sentences.
