LKS2 – Class 5 – History and Forest School

This morning we had a fantastic topic morning focusing on the impact the Romans had on Britain. The children researched various aspects of Roman Britain, including aqueducts, roads and Hadrian’s Wall. They used books and the internet to gather key facts then presented what they learned back to the class. Then the children went outside and worked together to build an aqueduct from a ‘lake’ to a ‘town’! They showed key Forest School skills such as teamwork, cooperation, and great resilience when things didn’t go to plan. After first trying it out with a bucket of water the children problem solved together and improved their initial designs.
