LKS2 – Class 5 – Science

Class 5 enjoyed learning all about teeth today! We learned the three main types of teeth (incisor, molar and canine) and their functions. Then we created our own human mouth by standing in two rows, showing where each type of tooth is. Next, e learned about why it is important to look after our teeth, and discussed ways to do this, for example avoiding sugary foods and brushing twice a day! Finally, we set up an experiment to investigate what kind of liquid has the most affect on teeth. We wrote our predictions in our books and also discussed how to keep our test fair. We measured out 4 different liquids and poured them into separate containers. Then we put an egg in each container, and over the next week we will observe what happens to the shell!
