LKS2 – Class 7 – Catapult Competition

Today, Class 7 took part in the Catapult competition in their colour teams. Each team created their own catapult mechanism using natural resources, string and an elastic band. We talked about the force needed to launch a tennis ball, as well as the tension and power that their contraction needed to have. Then, we all tested our catapults to see which ones sent the tennis ball the furthest. We all worked super had as a team and created some impressive mechanisms!
