LKS2- Food Technology

This week in Food Technology some of Year 3 and 4 made a local recipe, Yorkshire Puddings. We discussed where the recipe came from and how it has developed over time. As a group, we discussed the importance of hygiene when cooking and how we can ensure we are ready to cook. Children then worked in small groups to measure out all the ingredients, sieve the flour and crack the eggs that had been collected from our chickens. Children carefully combined the mixture to create their Yorkshire Pudding batter and evenly divided it between the trays. We watched them rise in the oven before we enjoyed eating them. Finally, children cleaned the cooking kitchen and reset the area ready for the next group.
