LKS2 – Newsletter – 15.03.2024

Today, the children used their research about Ancient Egyptian gods to create their own top trump cards. To do this, they included their grammar and considered the strengths and weaknesses of their gods.

To conclude the lesson, the children they played with the top trump cards they had created.

In maths this week Miss Nodding’s group have been adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominator. We completed a pizza slices activity to match pictorial representations to number sentences. We then used bar charts and number lines to help us solve further addition and subtraction questions in our books.

In PE this week we applied the skills we have been learning in Netball compete in our own netball tournament! We recapped the rules in our warmup by passing the ball and not holding onto it for more than 3 seconds and by using pivoting to follow the footwork rule. We then worked as a team, to pass the balls, mark defenders and shoot in small 6v6 matches.
