LKS2 Newsletter 2/3/21

Good morning everyone!

We have reached the final week of home learning before returning to school on the 8th March. The LKS2 staff would like to say a massive thank you to all the children and their families for continuing to work hard, and putting a smile on our faces every day when we chat to you on the phone or on Teams. We can’t wait to see you all next week! 

We have received some lovely photos over the last week of children taking part in various activities – including lots of cooking! Layla made some delicious looking cupcakes, and Sam has made several dishes from his brand new cookbook:

There has also been some fab artwork on display. Kazaf drew a lovely picture as part of Mrs Ledda’s half term challenge, Mabel added to her tin foil sculpture, and Layla drew a picture of a troll!

Finally, a MASSIVE well done to Hugo, who has completed his challenge of running at least 2 miles each day in February to raise money for Cancer Research. To read more and for links to his donation pages, have a look at the post from last week. We are so proud of you, Hugo!

World Book Day reminder

World Book Day is on Thursday 4th March! There will be several book – related activities to take part in, posted on the normal home learning page. We also encourage all children to dress up as their favourite book character for the Teams call on Thursday, and bring along a copy of their favourite book! To get you in the mood, here is Mohammed who has already completed the extreme reader challenge…

Lip sync challenge

This week’s wellbeing challenge is to create a lip sync video! To enter the competition and be in with a chance of winning the prize you need to mime (sing along without saying anything) a song of your choice. Entries must be sent to lowerkeystage@cookridgeprimaryschool.org.uk by 5pm on Wednesday 3rd March.
