LKS2 Newsletter 9/2/21

Good afternoon to all our LKS2 children and families! We are nearing the end of this half term, but the children are working as hard as ever in school and at home.

We have received some wonderful work from children this week, and have particularly enjoyed reading your fabulous stories, based on the book ‘Geronimo’ by David Walliams. Have a look at these!

Merryn chose to write a different story using her pronoun skills – a thrilling murder mystery:

A lot of you really enjoyed Miss Ledder’s art lesson this week. Here are some pictures of the snowmen created by the children who are in school:

We’ve also loved hearing about the other activities you are doing at home – arts and crafts, den building, chilly walks and beautiful photography:

Finally, we’d like to say a massive well done to Lily Clark, who was our phase winner for the bird feeder competition. Here is a picture of Lily when she found out she’d won, and a picture of her fantastic bird feeder! We were impressed with her design, recycling of old material and natural look.

Lily was over the moon to receive a £10 Amazon gift voucher for her efforts! If you would like to take part in the next challenge, here is all the information you need:

The next wellbeing challenge

This year Shrove Tuesday is on 16th February- so next week and in half term we want you to plan a creative pancake and share your flipping with us!

A £10 Amazon per phase for the winner.   Deadline for entries- Tuesday 23rd February 5pm

Here’s what you’ll need to enter;

  • A written recipe or drawn design of your pancake.
  • A video or photo of your pancake and flipping skills if you can.

Please have adult supervision when making your pancakes- be safe!

That’s all from us for now! We hope you enjoy the last week of this half term, and have a safe and restful holiday 🙂
