LKS2 – Pizza Party – Forest School

To celebrate their final Forest School session this year and to link with our topic of Europe, pupils put their fire lighting skills to the test in order to make stone lbaked pizza using Italian cooking methods. Teams split into two halves. One half concentrated on making the fire using a fire lay and getting it big enough and hot enough to cook on. The other half were in charge of making their team’s pizza. Children had to make the dough, roll it, add tomato sauce, cheese and then explore our herb garden where they had to correctly identify oregano and carefully pick it before topping their pizza with it. We then cooked them on an open fire before tucking into our delicious snack. What a great way to end the school year LKS2!
