LKS2 – Working Scientifically 5 – 03/09/2026

This week in LKS2, we became scientists and made our very own lava lamps!

We carefully followed a set of instructions to create our lava lamps and were excited to watch what happened as the different liquids interacted. Once we had successfully created them, we began to think like scientists by asking our own questions. What might happen if we changed the order of the liquids? Would using different quantities change the result?

We tested some of our ideas before comparing the different lava lamps we had made. We looked closely at the similarities and differences and discussed why we thought these changes had occurred.
