LKS2 – Year 3 – PE

The Y3s have started their new PE topic – dance! We are focusing our dance learning around the topic of ‘Water’, to link in with our science topic about states of matter. Today, we started with a fun game called ‘copycat’. We stood in a circle, and one person had to do a dance move whilst the others copied. Then we discussed how water moves, and how we could recreate this with our bodies. We learned a few dance moves which are inspired by water, and used words like ‘flowing’ and ‘free’ to describe the movements. Finally, in small groups we created a short dance routine by putting the moves we had learned into a sequence.
