LKS2 – Year 4 – Murton Park

Last week, Year 4 went to Murton Park to be immersed in a Viking experience! We spent the day living like Vikings – but, first, we learnt lots of new information about our history topic. This included the helping hand, which reminds us of the key skills a Viking had (sailing, raiding, trading, settling, farming and crafting), which we can now use to help us in other work. When we arrived, we met the rest of the community, including our Lady who taught us all the skills needed to be valuable. We traded, learnt how to be guards, made bread (including grinding our own flour!) and did some house work. Most importantly, we managed to fight off an Anglo Saxon warrior and save our village!

The children behaved wonderfully and made our school proud. Well done Y4!
